In this new position, Sanni Yaya will play a key role in achieving uOttawa’s goals in the realm of internationalization and in furthering the University’s historic mission, which is mandated by its founding legislation, of contributing to and fostering the expansion and success of the Franco-Ontarian community.
Université d’Ottawa | University of Ottawa Sanni Yaya is a health economist and an expert in global health. He is a full professor at uOttawa’s Faculty of Social Sciences who, from 2016 to 2019, held the position of associate dean and director of the School of International Development and Global Studies. He is a prolific researcher with a humanistic vision who is passionately committed to combatting inequality in maternal and child health in Sub-Saharan Africa. There is no doubt that his expertise in, and dedication to, internationalization and the Francophonie will serve him well in this important position.
