FleishmanHillard HighRoad is pleased to welcome Cheryl Stewart-Walsh as Senior Vice President, Public Affairs. Based in Atlantic Canada, she is a seasoned executive who brings significant expertise in politics, public affairs and public policy.

With 20 years of experience, Ms Stewart-Walsh has spent her career building strategic initiatives, communications, stakeholder engagement and impact partnerships. Most recently, she served as Regional Director, Innovative Medicines Canada where she led all partner and stakeholder engagement, government affairs and deployment of national strategy priorities for the Atlantic region.

In addition to senior roles in municipal politics and in education, economic development and life sciences regionally, she has also been a senior advisor to federal Ministers of Public Health and Citizenship and Immigration and was Senior Policy Advisor in Cabinet and Legislative Affairs for Prime Minister Paul Martin. She brings her considerable expertise at all levels of government to our national public affairs client base.

Ms Stewart-Walsh also brings expertise in a broad array of portfolios including health, life sciences, energy, environment and infrastructure to our agency.

In addition to her public affairs responsibilities, Ms Stewart-Walsh will offer FHR clients wide-ranging strategic communications, strategy and partner engagement capabilities.

Ms Stewart-Walsh also currently serves as an Executive Member of the Board of PEI Bioalliance, as board member for the Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy and IWK Health Centre, and as member of the Nova Scotia Advisory Council for the Status of Women.
