Mr. Alain Chandonnet
President and Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Directors of the National Optics Institute (INO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Alain Chandonnet as President and Chief Executive Officer of INO, effective October 2nd, 2017.

Mr. Chandonnet obtained a B.Sc. in 1986, a M.Sc. and a doctorate in optics and lasers (1986-1991) from Université Laval, in Quebec City. From 1995 to 1999, he pursued studies in administration, option business management.

Mr. Chandonnet began his career at INO, then worked for EXFO. He has been CEO and co-founder of TeraXion and handyem. With over 25 years of experience in high technology, technological entrepreneurship and business administration, he succeeds Mr. Jean-Yves Roy, who occupied this post since 1995 and is now president of the Board of Directors.
