Make a difference in the success of Canadian canola farmers and work for one of Canada’s most effective advocacy organizations

Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) is currently looking for a Coordinator, Government Relations and Parliamentary Affairs (6 months term contract) to join the Government Relations team and complement and enhance the work currently underway by the Vice-President and Manager, Government and Industry Relations.

As Coordinator, Government Relations and Parliamentary Affairs, you will be primarily responsible for monitoring legislation and key policy developments and act as the key interlocutor between the offices of Parliamentarians and government officials and CCGA.

As the ideal candidate, you have relevant education and work experience in a field related to politics, parliamentary process, public administration, or trade associations. You have an understanding of Canadian government and its associated regulatory structure and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external audiences.

Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA), with 82 full-time staff in Winnipeg, Regina and Ottawa, is the national voice for Canada’s 43,000 canola farmers. Our main business functions include: delivering the Advance Payments Program — a federal government financing program — to approximately 10,000 farmers across Western Canada each year; conducting agricultural policy development research; and advocating on issues, programs, and policies that impact canola farmers.

If you have the experience, skills, and drive to excel in this role and would like to join our team, please visit CCGA’s career web site at www.ccga.ca/about/careers by April 18, 2022. We look forward to hearing from you!

We thank all applicants, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
