Subscription Sales Account Manager

Do you enjoy relationship-based sales, dealing with professional associations and government relations’ clients to build subscription packages that meet their political and policy needs?

Hill Times Publishing is seeking a Subscriptions Sales Account Manager to join its subscription team. This highly motivated self-starter will work to build relationships with new and existing customers.

The right fit for this position is someone with excellent written and spoken English and someone who loves to get to know clients and their professional needs. A passion for politics or news is an asset as the tools Hill Times Publishing offers focus on the federal government news and information.

You could come from a variety of backgrounds from product sales to membership coordination, event management, GR or fundraising.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop new leads, determine their needs and customize subscription packages for them
  • Be responsible for outreach (through phone, email, social media, and in-person) and for leading in-person and phone meetings with clients
  • Be responsible for meeting monthly sales and renewal goals
  • Gain a solid understanding of Hill Times Publishing’s many different products and services
  • Assist in client onboarding
  • Set up trials
  • Build lists
  • Invoicing and accepting payments
  • Database management
  • Networking and client relations

 

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 years of professional experience, including internships
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Sales or fundraising experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively by e-mail and phone with executives
  • Experience thinking through problems creatively
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities
  • Ability to take initiative on projects
  • Ease with customer service
  • High-level computer skills

 

Remuneration is salary plus commission.
