Vice President, Economic Affairs and Climate Change

As Vice President, you will work with an ecosystem of our core stakeholder community and partners, including service providers, consultants, elected officials and their staff, senior civil servants, key NGOs and Indigenous leaders, political appointees, and strategic individuals in relevant private sector organizations. You will be the policy lead on energy, climate change policy, northern affairs and critical minerals, leading MAC Committees and advising the CEO on emerging issues and trends. You will also lead advocacy on your areas of responsibility, supporting MAC’s President & CEO in such matters.

The ability to effectively work in a collegial atmosphere of competing priorities with a small but highly collaborative team of professionals will be a key success factor in this role. You are full of energy and drive, known for your engaging leadership style and exceptional communication skills. You will possess an undergraduate degree (an advanced degree could be advantageous) and a number of years of experience and demonstrated success in a significant public policy role, ideally with knowledge of climate change policy and energy issues. Knowledge of the mining industry would be an asset, as would the ability to communicate in both official languages.
