Use a multimeter to measure the pin voltages to confirm normal power supply before connecting the Arduino to avoid reversing connections and damaging the device Sensor Installation and Debugging Precautions: The AM312 requires 1–2 minutes to warm up after power-on. Please wait patiently for the sensor to stabilize before testing. Avoid direct sunlight, air conditioning vents, and other areas with fluctuating temperatures during installation. A height of 1.5–2 meters with a downward tilt of 15°–30° is recommended for optimal detection results.
- Hardware Protection Tip: A 100Ω resistor can be connected in series with the sensor's VCC pin. Even if connected in reverse, this reduces short-circuit current and protects the Arduino board.
