Somewhere Down North is a reflection on life. The book looks back at the life of a Southern Mother who migrated north with her family in search of opportunity. Leaving a deeply divided south, she married and raised a family in White Plains, New York. She raised her own three children, then took on the responsibility of raising two grandchildren. She married a man who fought in World War II, after he passed, she raised two grandsons.
